Q4 2020 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps on iOS in Brazil

As the year 2020 came to a close, the performance of theme park applications on iOS devices in Brazil presented an interesting overview. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive analysis of the trends observed in the fourth quarter for these entertainment apps.

The My Disney Experience app, published by Disney, showed a remarkable peak in downloads reaching 7.8K in the week of November 16, with a subsequent decline to 526 downloads by the end of December. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 6.7K in the same week and tapering to 1.1K towards the year's end.

NBCUniversal Media, LLC's Universal Orlando Resort app, despite not generating revenue, maintained a steady flow of downloads, ranging from 66 to 166 weekly, and concluded the quarter with 114 downloads. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 1.35K and ending the quarter at 1.1K.

Disney's Play Disney Parks app experienced a significant boost in downloads in the week of November 16, hitting 426, and closed the quarter with 137 downloads. Active users saw an impressive rise to 454 in November before settling at 171 in the final week of December.

The Universal Studios Hollywood™ app demonstrated a consistent number of weekly active users, beginning with 1.4K and slightly descending to 1K by year-end. Downloads saw a spike to 120 in mid-November but generally hovered around the lower double digits.

Lastly, the Disneyland® app showed modest download numbers with a notable peak of 118 in mid-November. The weekly active users started strong at 1.1K, had an uptick to 1.3K in October, and finished the quarter at 963.
